Jim and I went to photograph Moulton Barn, Grand Teton,WY. We were there an hour before day break. Jim competed with at least 20 other photographers for a place to rest a tripod . . all in a row . . all after the same view. I gave up on that quest and took my camera for a walk. All I did was turn around and there was MY image! Sunlight breaking through the morning clouds, running a line along an old wire fence, and the mountains all aglow in mornings light. Sometimes just being there takes my breath away - I can "feel" the painting before I click the shutter. I couldn't wait to get home to decide which Misty Morning I was going to paint. Every time I look at this painting I can still feel the cold breeze against my face, feel the excitement of the sun coming up and the gratitude of just being alive to witness another Glorious Morning.
